Work as a furniture assembler
The fixers, together with IKEA, are making furniture assembly popular and we are therefore recruiting new furniture assemblers on an ongoing basis and right now the demand is exploding. For those of you who appreciate freedom under responsibility and are a social person with a competitive instinct, the monthly income at full time for the right person can be just over SEK 40,000 per month* (SEK 240 * 170 hours / month = SEK 40,800 / month*)
We see that you:
- Has previous experience of simpler craftsmanship or is generally handy, methodical and thorough
- Is good at using the right tools to drill and anchor furniture in all wall types
- Is responsible and driven by freedom under responsibility on site in customers’ homes
- Has a Swedish social security number (personal number)
- Has driver’s license B (valid in Sweden)
- Has access to own car
- Has access to a number of own tools (See tool requirements: Tool requirements Furniture fixers)
- Is physically strong enough to handle IKEA’s larger furniture packaging in the customer’s home
- Driven by booking customer visits for optimal journeys even in cities with tolls
- Handles English in both speech and writing

Freedom to work whenever you want
Become one of our future furniture assembler and assemble furniture at home for private individuals. As a furniture assembler, you are free to choose when and where you want to work. You see the assignments in our app, call the customer and set a time for the home visit, check in / out and go on to the next customer. Driving license and access to a car is a must and in the app you control which municipalities you want to take assignments in.
The compensation model is fair and is based on the time required on current furniture with a guideline salary of SEK 240/ hour*. Travel to and from the customer and removal of the packaging is always included in the fixed compensation. Examples of compensation:
- An drawer with 5 drawers SEK 600*
- Two bookshelves (Billy) SEK 750*
- Dining table and 4 chairs SEK 750*
- Two PAX wardrobes (incl. Furnishings) SEK 1250*
As a Fixer, you are the face outwards
When you work with a customer, it is important that you are punctual, work orderly and are always careful with the customers’ furniture and furnishings. You will be the face of Hemfixarna and it is important that you deliver high quality at every job opportunity. To succeed, it is important that you are flexible and can deliver good service while working efficiently and solving problems on your own. Speed must never exceed the quality that for us and the customer is the most important thing. Each assignment is carried out by the customer afterwards and Fixers who do not respect our high quality requirements can be excluded. We are proud that more than 9,000 customers on the independent riding service Trustpilot have given us an average rating of 4.7 out of 5. We will of course increase this in our constant quality work in the effort to continue to be number one in Sweden.
